Have a look at what some of our patients, staff and volunteers have to say about John Eastwood Hospice.

During Chris’s stay at John Eastwood we all, especially Chris, became very good friends with ‘Kev the Rev’, the hospice chaplain. He spent lots of time with us as a family and also with Chris. He laughed with us and cried with us. He literally kept us all going.

Kev had time for us all and made the saddest time in my life bearable. I know how much he helped with my sister’s fears too because she told me, she was very afraid but Kev was able to comfort her in a way that we as a family didn’t know how to. He was the biggest support to my brother-in-law, Stuart. I will be forever thankful to him. He is an incredible person.

The work here suits someone who wants to take their time with patients A big part of our role is listening to patients. I chose to be a doctor because I was drawn to caring for people at their most vulnerable. I want to make a difference to someone’s life, however small that might be.

It is a lovely place. My dad was in the hospice before he died. Everyone was wonderful and kind. The care my dad received was absolutely brilliant.

I was a day care patient over a two year period. I am now cancer free. John Eastwood Hospice has a special place in my heart.

A huge thank you for everything you did for Georgina. The care and support you’ve shown us both has been incredible and I couldn’t have wished for a better place to look after her at the end of a long, long road. I am so, so happy with the care and compassion you gave her.

The care we as a family received was outstanding and we still consider all of you as true friends. Thank you a million times.
